Default how put on 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern wheels

Id love to use the toyota fj steel smoothie wheels on my jk but I believe the backspacing is 4.5". Someone makes a 5 on 5 to 6 on 5.5 adapter but its 2"s thick. This I think would put my wheels out too far. Are there any other options that wouldnt kill my wallet?

The rims can be had for $60 which is cheap for a 17" rim.

Trailworthy Fab cuts out the center sections of the military beadlocks they sell and then welds in a different bolt pattern. No idea if it can be done to the FJ rims, but something to look in to if you just have to run them.

And besides, $60 for each rim plus $50 for each spacer (using spidertrax prices) = why not go ahead and buy a rim that will fit a JK...

Yea for all of the hassle I should just shoot for custom rims but these are so cheap! If they werent already 4.5" backspacing an adapter would be very doable.

Jk steel rims suck. I sold the ones that came with my jk. The fj rims look like the old steel rims that came on old jeeps and fj40's.

I foresee a tire and wheel passing its Jeeper-owner on the highway in the not too distant future.....
