Default How much would you pay?!?!

All, a guy I know has an older Smittybuily XRC8 winch with a synthetic line and remote. I am looking to get it off his hands for him but dont know how much is a reasonable price.

What do you all think?

Certainly no more than $300, brand new is $400. I would think $250 depending on how old it is. If it's not been covered regularly and worked once a month (per the directions) then I would offer closer to $200. The synthetic needs to be protected from the sun and is expensive to replace.

A fully built 4dr weighs in at 5k- fully built. So with a snatch block the 8k winch becomes a 16k......I don't see where the winch is small.

Albeit, I have a 10k on my 2dr :thefinger:

General rule is 1.5 times weight minimum. Fully built 4 door is well more then 5k. Dry weight stock is 4400. I've seen fully built armored jku weighing in at close to 7k. One member on here is 7300. So on a stock jku with full tank of gas and one average adult male at around 200lbs would put weight around 5k. Making 8k winch min. Ad in being stuck in deep mud or pulling up and over rocks. There ya go
