How much arguing did do with the tire shop?

Do the writers of the book, and/or the techs own a JK? Have they completed all of the research you did prior to ordering? Have they even installed a set, and put the JK through various turns and suspension travel tests to prove that the book is correct? I am sure all of the answers are no. Unless you are at a dedicated off road store, trust your research more than Larry, Moe and Curly's opinion. Let them know that 3.5" of lift, 3 inch bumpstop and flat fenders let me run 37s on stock wheels. Only rubbing is on the shock reservoir and control arm because of backspacing issues, not that I don't have enough lift. Go with what your research showed will work.

You can fit a 37" tire with a stock suspension. It will rub and you can't take it off road but it will fit. My neighbor did it.
Go to a different shop those guys are idiots!

I have the 275/70-18 duratracs on stock 18" wheels.
There was rubbing on sway bar at full turn and on the air dam so spacers are helpful as the rubbing gets annoying quick.
I did have to trim the air dam as well after spacers. Easy to do.
If your having doubts on the smaller ones now I doubt you'll be happy with them for long. The 275/70's fit and fill out the wheel well good. I'm very happy with the look and size of mine.
Hope this helps.

Looks good! Any complaints about ride/MPG after all was said and done?

When I bought my tires that size was only available with an E rated sidewall which is heavy and stiffer so it is a bit stiffer handling but I lowered my air pressure to 30 psi and it drives much better. I do highly recommend the 275/70's. Because I know I wouldn't be happy with the smaller ones.
Heres a pic from behind with spacers. I have a pic without spacers that I'll put in a separate post. I'm using my phone and for some reason the app crashes every time I try to add 2 pics.

Well I made my decision. I looked at more pictures and took E rating into account and decided to stick with 275/65R18. It won't be much bigger, just slightly wider than the Duelers. Also this saves me $70 per tire!
I reasoned that since 90% of my miles are highway, and this jeep is my DD (and my garage, since I am an apartment dweller) I should take MPG seriously. Otherwise an average 1-3 MPG drop would add up fast.
Thanks for your input and encouragement everybody, i do appreciate it!
Ride on, on the substrate of your choosing!
