Default How to mount a 35" tire to a factory carrier without a 1000$ bumper or spacer

This is how I did it... After buying the 35"s I didnt have the cash to get a carrier and I didnt want to stress the stock carrier with a relocation spacer so this is what I did

I cut the bumper out and trimmed the rubber spacers and it fit great

I'm running a 35" tire on a stock rear bumper. I did not have to do all that cutting either. My RotoPaX mounting plate have me the quarter inch I needed to fit mine now it fits perfect with two black racket balls as bump stops.

do you have it all on the stock carrier ??? if so it willpull out spot welds out inside of the taikgate. mine started pulling after 8months I caught it before they pulled through.

Teraflex makes one that mounts to the tailgate hinges...

Yea, be careful...I've seen tailgates that have bent/warped/drooped because of heavy tires on them. Okay for the short term but just a heads up for the long run
