Are you able to do the lights/cb antenna AND rotopax?

Be aware that carrying a gas can strapped to the spare tire can be an issue in case of a rear impact, which can rupture the can and spread gas everywhere. I've read several threads in this forum where fellow Jeepers were hit in the back and that can be a big issue in case gas leaks.

They have been rated to survive being thrown off the top of a 3 story building and not break as long as it does not land on the cap. The cap is the weak point.

I'm confident it would survive a moderade rear end collision.

I just wish they had a locking gas cap on those things.

I'm looking to do the exact same setup you have.can you clarify if the rotopax bracket you used requires drilling through the jeep 's tailgate, or if it uses holes / bolts from spare tire holder? Maybe a photo ?

No drilling required for the mount. If you can take your spare off the back you can install this mount. It is just sandwiched between the carrier and spare wheel.

I modified mine to accommodate my 3rd brake light due to you not being able to see it with the 35 on the back. I'm at red robin right now but when I get home I can upload a pic for ya
