Default How do you tell the type of lift

We purchased a JK with a 2 inch lift. How do you determine the type of lift and which manufacturers parts were used?

thanks

Doug

That may be hard to tell. A rubber puck is a rubber puck. If it is a spring lift it may or may not have a tag on the spring.

You could look for any stickers on the shocks. I think most if not all manufacturers either provide stickers to be placed on shocks or ship them already affixed.

Holy jacked up suspension, Batman!! Are you driving it like this? The spring is all messed up. It is not perched correctly at the top or bottom. The spring should sit straight. You need to fix this pretty quick.

what ^^he said

what you have is a Budget Boost with factory coils and sway bar links that are too short, it appears. that is a screwed up mess, though. get it fixed

in the last pic, that coil needs to turned counter clock wise until the end of the coil sits down in the groove.

Whats the recommendation? Repair or replace. If its replace do you have a specific brand?

thanks

Repair or replace? That's up to you... what you planning on doing with it?

Either way... get it fixed! Not safe!
