well so far im not too fond of it other than its looks... the 3rd day I had it we started getting some pretty hard rain and above my sound bar is leaking like crazy... if anyone has solved this problem I sure would appreciate you to let me know how to fix it... some gets in the area between the doors too but i guess im not TOO concerned about it... its a jeep so I dont care if it gets a little wet just pissed off because its spanking new leaking like crazy onto my seats and last thing i want is a wet ass and back going into work. Ya it is kinda a pain in the ass to put up and really with getting that first nob done in the front at the header but gotta get a tight fit somehow.

I haven't had any issues whatsoever with leaking with mine. I even take my JK through the high power spray washers and still don't get any water on the inside. I guess it's the luck of the draw. I'm sure no two are completely alike. But, it is a Jeep and it shouldn't matter if you get a little water on the inside. If you're getting soaked inside that's another story. A big advantage of the Trektop is that it's frameless but still serves the same purpose as the factory soft top. Where the Trektop is better is that you can take the entire thing off and fold it up and stow it in the rear. With the factory soft top you can't really take the ENTIRE thing off as easily unless you want to leave it at home. Doesn't make much sense to have a soft top and leave it at home. You might as well have a hard top if you're going to do that. On many occasions I've been on my way home from work and it has started to rain. I just pull over and put the top back up. Simple.

I'm thinking about getting one for summer. However a $500 top leaking is not a "Jeep thing". It's a defective top thing. If your top is leaking send it back for a replacement. If your sister makes you one and it leaks a little you may want to live with that. However if you are purchasing a professionally produced product it needs to work properly.

I have the 4 door, and it IS the redesign, and it leaks bad! I sent and email to both 4wd.com and bestop about it with lots of pics of the water.
these pics are large, so i"m just gonna post the links to them...
All of these pictures are taking from the passenger seat, I only opened up the pass. side door to take the pics, no other door was opened during the rain, so all the water on the other doors is from the top.

I'm hoping that they just messed something up with the new batch they sent out.. i was on backorder for about 2 months as well. got it last week and took it off the other day b/c it was getting nasty wet inside. my seats are wet, floors, roll bar covers, dash, doors, cargo area, storage thing in the back was soaked, water where the stock jack is. you name it, it's wet. and that is not a jeep thing, that is a load of crap. i don't mind the minor soft top leaks with the factory top, or the minor leaks with my hard top, but mad puddles everwhere only after a few hours of rain, is horrible. water = mold and rust, and my son is allergic to mold, so keeping that top would be a health hazard to him :( but they do look awesome, i hope they figure it out and fix them.
