Default How do i found out gear ratio on pinion and ring

I just regear my jeep last week and my mechanic told me that my old gear I have is 4.10 ratio, but I have 2010 sahara 4dr on the sticker it said 3.73. So do anybody know how do I found out the gear ratio on pinion and ring after it been remove from diff. Thanks

Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion.

ex - 41 on ring gear divided by 10 on pinion = 4.10

call a jeep dealer and request a build sheet. You will need to give them your VIN #.

I have 41 on ring and 11 on pinion so I have 3.73 ratio. Thanks again
