How to black out white letter tires?
#21
You can order these with no white lettering, that is what I did, from Discount Tire. Great tires, you will enjoy them!

use some foaming tire black...i was blacking my tires one day an i noticed it took the white out...then you can just rub it with a washcloth or something to get it all out...idk if it will work for you but it did for me

Leave 'em white
Around these parts, it cost $80 - $100 to have tires mounted and ballanced. I would go back and see if they would remount them for free or at least 1/2 price. Otherwise, I would just leave them white. I don't think white letters look bad if it is a good brand like BFG.

Old thread.
Yes, he flipped them.
Yes you can paint white letters with krylon ultra flat black, and it matches the tire.
No you can't grind the white off. It's deeper than it appears.

i just had some new bfg's put on and i forgot to tell the guy to put the white letters on the inside. I'm certainly not going to pay to have it done so i'm looking for a good way to turn the white letters black.
I've tried a few things and none of them have worked. A sharpie doesn't even work! A guy at the local auto parts store said he heard of guys using interior spray paint... Didn't work! I even tried flat black rustoleum... Didn't work! But it did look the best for a few minutes. As soon as you start moving it peels right off.
Anybody??
