Default How to black out white letter tires?

I just had some new BFG's put on and I forgot to tell the guy to put the white letters on the inside. I'm certainly not going to pay to have it done so I'm looking for a good way to turn the white letters black.

I've tried a few things and none of them have worked. A sharpie doesn't even work! A guy at the local auto parts store said he heard of guys using interior spray paint... didn't work! I even tried flat black rustoleum... didn't work! but it did look the best for a few minutes. As soon as you start moving it peels right off.

Anybody??

Look at a local autoparts store for tire dressing. I have't looked for it in a long time, but it used to be available. It's kinda like a cross between latex and leather dye. It works great because its pliable enough to flex with the rubber. I dyed my dad's whitewalls with it when I was in high school, he was not impressed!

I used a black paint marker that I got from the arts and crafts section of Walmart.

dude it is only like 20-30 bucks to get them mounted the other way and rebalanced. You are going to spend that driving to every autoparts place in town and buying tire paint.

You are gonna spend the money you would to just have it switched
F'ing around.....
Get it switched and be happy.
Nothing will work as well as switching them...........

yeah I agree, why screw around trying to paint some nice new tires when you can just have the shop flip the the other way and be done with it!
