Hothead Headliners 2012
I have installed the full set of Hothead Headliners in my JKU. The materials Mark uses are perfect for the job. The finish work is flawless. These have the newer 3M VHB tape, except the side windows which are velcro. Installation was easy and they fit perfectly. The medium dark mahogany color goes great with the dark saddle seats. Sound and heat insulation are definitely improved.
Mark's instructions are excellent, especially if you watch the online videos. I also recommend noting Mark's statement that it takes a full 72 hours for the adhesive to cure completely. Ideally this means installing when temperatures will be in a proper range for 72 hours, and parking the jeep.
If Mopar plans to offer headliners, I vote for Mark Ambrose as the supplier.

FWIW....Mark Ambrose and Hothead Headliners is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with.....I purchased and installed his headliners for my 2010 JKU....the headliners looked good and did a good job of insulating for heat/cold and sound.....however when riding on a "rough road' after a time the velcro would realease on the rear HL and they would have to be reattached, not a big deal, just an inconvenience..... when there was a post on this forum some months back inquiring about the HL, I posted this problem....apparently Mark monitors this forum, he immediatly sent me a PM and insisted on replacing them with new ones with "improved" velcro....they arrived within a week and perform flawlessly.....IMHO it just does not get better than that.....just sayin

I ordered some hothead headliners this past sunday and I installed them today (saturday) So far they seem pretty nice. Seems quieter and cooler. Install took about 20 minutes and most of that time was making sure the hardtop was clean. I will let you know more as time goes on.

I had these in for about 6 months but 2 out of 4 of mine would not stay attached. My roads must be to bumpy because I was meticulous about putting them in. I ended up trashing them. I actually had made my own before the hotheads and they also fell.

I am about to pull the trigger for a set of Hothead Headliners and would like suggestions from Hothead owners for which color would be best. I have a 2012 Winter Chill JKUR with the standard black cloth interior.
Would black or graphite be the best match for the interior?
Or would it be better to go with a lighter color to help the interior lighting and/or temp?

Well I have had them on almost 2 weeks now and those things are great. It's been up in the 90's here and the interior is noticeably cooler. No sign of them falling off. Drove the Interstate with the front half of the top off and they stayed put. Still waiting for the horrible 3m tape smell to go away though.
