Should be able to find them for $80 a piece, = $240 after the $80 rebate.

Another vote for Rancho 9000. I have AEV lift that came with Bils road little rough. Their great off road. I changed and I prefer the Rancho Ride.

Im running the rc 3.5 series ii, same shocks, with 37 km2s. Havent had a crazy rough ride. My first guess is tire pressures? I run about 29 for a flat foot print...

I went from 5100s to the Rancho 9000 adjustables and it was a big improvement. The Bilsteins I found were equal to the highest settings on the Ranchos (by feel, pushing both on garage floor). I'd start there and replace springs if you have to. I'm happy with the RK springs. Lower tire press. helps.

I run the same lift and agree, it rides good. But the series ii lift is much better and more complete than the lift OP has. He basically just has shocks and springs, and the 2.2 shocks are reported much worse than the later 2.0 shocks we got in our kit.

I wouldnt just swap to billies because one dude said so. If i were getting shocks id get the adjustable as dirt said. You can get closer to what you feel the ride should be like with adjustment. I rode in a few bilstein jks and while the coils were different i still felt they were to stiff for my liking. Definitely some personal preference.
Wasnt running off just one guy said. I have read more than one thread comparing the 5100s and the 9000s. I just figured it was a toss up. My JK is my DD and sees more time on the pavement than the trail. Obviously it makes more sense to tailor my build to that. No qualm with the Ranchos.

Thanks. If we are in the running keep this in mind too...

Thanks Rancho. In your opinion, is this a good place to start? Would the 9000s cover my current lift and later if I decide to move to a 3.5?

Obviously,I am bias.
But it is cool to hear from Fredrock on this. He and I went back and forth a year or so ago on this, and I am glad he is happy.
The 9000's listed below will work for both applications.

These are what we use in our 3" systems (and suggest in "short" 4" systems too) and suggest for 2.5" systems too.

Dammit Matt, forgot to check in with you after I installed them! Finally got that leaking axle seal done which cleared my ambition to get the shocks mounted. Obviously, I do like them and you have a good memory! Now.....ambition to install the PR44 on the garage floor and gears to match in the rear....good problems to have I guess. The "new and less improved" Spring Creek pushed the envelope on more durable equipment.

Back on track, the only bitch I have is I hate the red boots. I swapped in black ones from Amazon for the front and luckily most of the rear tucks up out of sight as I can't see how to swap those out without gaining more grey hairs in the process.

Eric at Offroad Elements http://www.offroadelements.com/ hooked me up with great pricing on those and everything else since. Would be worth a call for those shopping.

PS. I would suggest removing the adjusters and packing the void with grease (I use clear synthetic), especially for those in winter corrosive climates. I also turn those in to avoid shearing on rocks.
