I figured that griving through 3 to 4 feet of water cooled my engine pretty well LOL.

The hood lift is caused more by aero lift of the hood surface than building pressure below, not even sure if AEVs hood does anything to remedy it.

On my JK I have been considering making some sort of air relief for the hood since the summer I took possession. My balls still haven't swollen enough to take a cutting wheel to the hood but I did find some under hood temperature relief with the purchase of headers and having them black satin coated. Black Satin acts as a heat barrier keeping EGTs inside the pipes and could easily be done with the stock exhaust manifold.

My first go around with black satin was with my '67 Chevelle that was so hot in the foot wells that it was unpleasant to drive. No issues after the black satin application with reduced under hood temperatures and certainly cooler feet. On the JK I probably would have just done the stock exhaust manifold, although getting it properly prepped and taken care of would have left me without it for a bit. Opted for the headers and it was plug and play with a couple hours twisting a wrench.

Agreed. I have those louvers sitting there. I keep putting them on the hood and looking at them, but to pick up the grinder and start....... I bet the first 80 degree day gives me that kick in the ass I need to get it started.

I think their solution is to make the hood signifcantly heavier.

Not sure I like those but definitely like the concept being parked outside so much in the rain and snow in glamorous Clevo.
