While I'm still a Newbie here, one thing I have learned already is this: when somebody say's "it's your Jeep, do what makes you happy" or "if you like it, that's what matters", is just like saying that a "blind date" has a good sense of humor. ![Synister](https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/synister.gif)
I agree that you may want to think about turning it around, so it goes from being a functional "ram air intake" to a "cowl air intake" type of operation. Maybe move it back closer to the windshield and use it as a cowl.
For me, I'm far more interested in the pre-fab AEV and TMD hoods. I think both are stronger and have been thoroughly tested by their manufactures before release. Just my two cents...
