When you say functional do you me RAM air functional or just cool the engine functional like a louver?

I say nay on the cosmetic look but that's just my opinion and I only say that because you ask. What you like is what counts.

it doesnt belong on a 3.8L jeep and if you make it functional I think your hood will be to flimsy, you'd be cutting into the main support of the hood, how would you reinforce it?

ya dont have to cut the whole scoop section out!!i would cut a 6 inch hole for now then try to make a ram air set up!!!!

i think if it was painted to match the hood it would look neat but at the stock color i think it looks like an after thought. I say DO IT but paint it to match

it was an after thought!!!!!!but it is painted to match the fenders texture black!!!!!

I think it should match the hood if you do do it so it doesnt stand out so much.....are you doing it for the look or to get cooler air intake?
