Default Hood Louvers

OK. Just got done installing the Poison Spyder hood louver. It sure fits and looks nice. However, I have a question. Those of you that have done this mod...Is it necessary to replace the under hood insulation?? I was thinking of having the underside sprayed with bedliner. But I don't know if it even needs that. Your thoughts.

I didn't replace the insulation and have had no problems. The bedliner option might be nice.

If I could add to this...It appears to me that more heat could escape if the plastic engine cover was also removed??!!

They are not required; the under-hood insulation only acts as a sound dampener. Lots of JK's don't even come with them.
