Yeah, I've been digging around and it seems that the consesus is the JK sheetmetal is too flimsy to support a substantially strong, metal flare. So options are

1. risk damaging your body when your heavy gauge flare rips your body panel to shreds.

2. cut your plastic fenders

3. Pay a local shop $$$$ to fab up something that will tie in with some frame mounted rock rails and steel bumpers.

But then it might end up looking like an exoskeleton. IMO

OMFG!!!!! I was laughing so hard my girlfriend walked up and asked what I was laughing at. The wood doors are KNOWN at my house. So she thought it was funny too. That is awesome.

I cannot wait to see some photos of them. Do you think they will be compatible with the cardboard hood I just made?
