Homemade Stubby Front Bumper w/Fog Lights & Crush Cans - PICS!!
So doojer came by today to buy my factory 32" BFG M/T's that I just replaced and after we got done installing them on his Jeep JK Wrangler, we got talking about our last trip out to Death Valley. Of course, this got us laughing about the dimple he put on the passenger side front bumper and that in turn lead us to start thinking of ways to fix it. Well, about an hour later, we did just that... by hacking off the ends and making it into an awesome homemade stubby front bumper - LOL!!

Not bad at all. If I ever trash my factory plastic it's going to be sawzall time. That homemade stubby will stay clear of the rocks a whole lot better. Nice clean job Doojer/WOL.

It came out great! Very, very cool and you sure can't beat the price.
Thanks again for the master craftsmanship! I'm looking forward to getting out and making use of my new approach angle.

I'm sort of new to the whole Jeep Wrangler deal, so take my opinion for what it's worth.
I think this looks great. If I could get some decent "caps" to cover the exposed metal, then I'd be all over it. I just don't think that the factory bumper is all that ugly to start with. As a stubby I think it's the best that I've seen.
Any story that starts out with, "so I'm hanging around with a buddy and", involves a jeep and a sawzall, is a destined classic.
Too cool!

Great job wayoflife. I posted a few questions about this mod a couple months back but really didn't get what i needed: an articulate how to. So I would greatly appreciate all you can share. Also, are you planning on doing the rear bumper. That one you'll only have to cut plastic after removing the metal brackets. Ive been waitting for a good write up before attempting. thanks
