Default Home grown rock rails ?

I am thinking of building my own rock rails, and was looking to see how many out there have allready made there own.

here are the ones I made I call them bonesliders I build them out of the stock rubicon rails

Thought about trying but the metal looked like it would cost more then just to buy a set.

I made a set, kind of a combination of rocker guard and a running board (lower than most sliders so the girl friend has an easier time getting in). I am happy with them so far.

Welded them together out of box and flat steel. Got the steel for $80.

I will post a pic this afternoon.

I have rubi sliders and as soon as work picks back up I am going to modify them. My only question is that these attach to the pinch seam and the bottom of the body rail. If the additional width is added and you take a hit on a rock, like drop down on one, will the pinch seam and body rail hold or just rip out?
