I actually got a hi-lift before I had a lift on. It's just so versatile and cheap I figured why not. Also I've worried about how a stock jack would work in say sand or mud if I need to lift a wheel up to put a board underneith. Even if the hi-lift sinks a little, I know I have plenty of extra lift length.

As mentioned above the highlift is more than just a jack, it is a very versatile tool. Its one of the few things I refuse to off-road without.

I've actually used my hi-lift more times as an actually "farm jack" rather than a car jack. I've pulled stumps and lifted bear boxes with it and it worked great.
