Loving my AFE. No drone and sounds aggressive. Take a look and listen on YouTube. I bought my on Amazon after a long search of a lot of exhausts.

Hi Roan, the muffler in our Offroad-Pro series system sits just barely lower than the stock frame rails. We rarely ever see them damaged, even after hardcore climbing/trail sessions. You can get a good idea of how it sits in this customer video: https://youtu.be/kj3s_ojXLwg <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=667774"/> If you have any other questions about this system, please let us know!

I smashed my stock muffler, same problem as you. I also didn't want anything loud. I decided on the AEF Scorpian exhaust. It's an axle back which was fine for me. It's tucked wayyyy up versus stock, no worries of rocks hitting this one. It also has a very mellow sound with the factory resonator in place. It's not loud, just a little deeper and more defined. I love it. I can post up a pic tomorrow if you want.

I will be making my decision soon and I'll post pics as soon as I install it!!! Please keep posting as I know more people have this same question. Its the pictures that really help By allowing us to see how high clearance it really is. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Posted axle back option in #6 as well. You'd be surprised how tucked up there you can get a muffler.....and a shop should be able to bend a pipe to accommodate any muffler you desire....you're not limited to a kit.
