I carry a jack stand & the tire lift attachment with me at all times. They also have a bumper attachment hook thingy. But I always have my stock one as a back up if I ever need it.

The issue is stability. If you're careful with it, there's not issues doing so. You can even use a strap around the axle to lift it up to change a tire, though I prefer a bottle jack for doing so. This works very well to stabilize the jack. Not much of an investment to protect a $30K vehicle or yourself.

You can use the d ring as a point, rotate it up and start jacking with the hi lift

You can just cinch strap onto the front bumper and use some folded cardboard underneath to keep from marring it.
