I built a trunk and mounted mine with HI-LIFT loc rack.

I don't want to bash your idea, but since you said it was temporary, I used this hardware the first time also and it is a little too weak for the weight of the Hi-Lift. I spent a few dollars more and used muffler camps, I think they were 2 1/2", they are 100 times stronger but they don't fit over the fabric or padding on the roll bar. I then bought some threaded knobs that fit the clamp thread (10m) and used those to clamp the jack down, it's a very solid mount. Oh and as you can see from my avatar mounting to rear bumper is not an option.

I used a home made setup, then just bought the hilift brackets off amazon. With these brackets, the hilift mounts well here...

Just have to remove the baseplate.

Sorry to wake the dead here.... But how did you build that trunk????? It looks absolutely amazing. Could you possibly take more pictures and send them to me or possibly do a short write up?
