Default Hi-lift

What size Hi-Lift do you have? I have a 3" lift on 35's and I was thinking maybe I should go with a 60" this time. I had a 48" on my 04 rubi but this seems to sit a little higher. Any thoughts?

48 inch fits nicely in the back and is plenty tall.

I keep a floor jack with a metal plate welded to the bottom as my "jack" (no wheels to roll and it will jack in sand and mud) and the high-lift is only an emergency backup recovery and MAYBE jack.

high lifts are friggen dangerious and scary as a jack.

Thanks, I went with the HI-LIFT Extreme 48". I will only use a highlift when all else fails. I hope this one does not rust out in a year like the last one. (the handle, due to Mag-cloride)

I was thinking of buying the 48" as well. Where do you guys jack your vehicles up at? I've used a hi-lift back when I had a beat up CJ so it didn't matter if I scratched/dented the body but on a brand new '08 Unlimited I was to be a little more cautious. It just seems like the metal piece is fairly short to get it under something to jack without the handle being pressed up against the body.....do you only use them on the bumpers and is there a specific tab or something?
