I never had mine dump before the axle. I wanted it to go straight out the back from the start bc of my kid riding the back all the time. And mine's pretty loud. I love the sound. But I never "don't know" it's there.

Thats why mine is for off road use only. If you read the description of the product, it mentions for off road use only.

Shouldn't be an issue. This is mounted to the similar layout as a 4 door.
Great pics.

I also think I might cut down the exhaust tail pipe to give the hanger isolator a better fit.

Overall, it sounds a lot deeper and definitely gives a better throttle response. We will see what it sounds like after the break in period.

It can be a bit loud, but I just crank it up. Ha!

No it is a state issue, a good site to see what is "legal" or not "legal" by state.

Many states want a muffler, some states want the exhaust to dump out back... but then there are some cars that dump out the side, so it gets murky.

Awesome. Ill keep you updated, if i have any issues with that there. I had to grind out the EVAP skid plate a little to get the brack on there. Im used to loud. Had 37s on an F150 with a full exhaust, too include headers. The noise of the tires are music to my ears.

Cut the intermediate. Resonator back goes. Just dont cut too much like I did.

Thanks. Which side of the intermediate pipe? The side that goes into the muffler or the stock pipe?

You want to re-use most of the intermediate pipe. (The pipe that goes from the y-pipe to the resonator). Cut as close to the resonator as you can. Measure like 8 times (as close as you can.) You will have to trim it again but leave as much there the first cut. Faux assemble it under the Jeep. Then take a little more off.

If you mess up, you can order a new intermediary pipe from the DIY kit. But they range from $40-80. And Autozone doesn't carry them. So you'll be without a muffler until it ships. If you're dumping before the axle you have more room to play. A straight pipe out the back requires it to be pretty precise. 3 parts have to all line up with their associated hangers. The hardest part was removing the old setup from the hangers. Wd40 and a prybar.
