Default Hey, Dynomax guy...

I've been researching my exhaust setups and am going to give yours a shot. My question is this: Does the 39522 only fit on a 4 door? I see that there is a 39524 but it costs twice as much. Your website says they both will fit on a 2014. What is your take? Thanks!

I found this on Amazon for the first part number

Q: Will this fit the 2012 JK sport? I'm seeing conflicting data, Amazon says it will but the Dynomax site says its for JK Unlimited.

A: It should, the instructions tell you a spot to trim one of the pipes, but it wasnt necessary for the 4 door (what i have), and seems that it would allow it to fit a 2 door. My best advice would be to call dynomax to make sure, but most online forums agree that you cut the pipe where it says in the instructions for 2 door models only, and leave it long (like i did) to fit four doors

And the difference between the two is I believe the first one dumps the exhaust before the axle and the second dumps it near the bumper.

Thanks. I'm seeing conflicting reports too. I typed in my model on the Dynomax site and a few products popped up. The 39522 was one of them. But reading reviews, a few people said putting that on a 2 door was more work than it was worth.

It can be done, on a 2 door there is a 2.5" cut that is needed.
That's all.
We stopped calling that out because people we not making the cut and it dumped on the rear axle near the parking brake. So officially we don't suggest it, but it is done all the time.

This is on a 2007-11 2 door, similar set up as a 2012+ (different mounting place up front near the Y but same cut is needed)

Yes. Obviously make sure all is good before the cut is made, but on the 2012+ the hanger(s) is moved to be in the correct location.

Last question. If I have to cut to install. And then I hate it. Is it still under warranty?

Shouldn't be an issue. We have had guys paint their mufflers black and then ask this question. My boss said, that wouldn't be an issue on the 90 day Sound and Performance Guarantee.
