Default Herculiner vs. Linex?

Is there a big quality difference between the spray on linex vs. the roll on herculiner? Anyone have any experience with herculiner? I'm thinking it may be worth to use the herculiner and touch it up if needed than pay around $1000 up front for linex. I'm interested in pros and cons for both. Thanks.

I am sure they are all the same. This is my opinion of course.

My CJ tub was line-x. That stuff is bullet proof and nearly impossible to grind off. I was extrememly happy with the quality. I had my line-x colored light grey to match the interior and be cooler than the standard black color. My JK will have some Line-x.

yes.
one is 1/8" maximum ( the one you roll on) and the other is usualy 1/8" at the MINIMUM.

herc = cheap, easy, simple, not as tough
spray on= pricey, tough, you aint removing it easily.

I have on vehicle Herculined inside and out, its my beater and it works great.
My JK will get sprayed

Does the herculiner chip or scrape easily? What about looks? They look similar or not at all? Thanks.

No. There is a reason a can of herculiner is 40$ and Line-X is well, more. I herculined the interior of a truck and my JK will get Line-X. The herculiner came out looking cheap even though I was meticulous with prep and application. But it was a beater, so I didnt care.

I'm with Steve on this one. Herculiner pretty much sucks. I spent about 6 hours preping my truck bed even sanded it twice and the herculiner had a hard time sticking and staying. About 3 monthes of modereate use it needed to be reapplied. I would spend the extra money and line-x it.

i just had the edge where the hardtop sits, and it looks GOOD! i got tired of getting a little nick everytime we would pull the hardtop on and off. i was thinking of linexing the inside of the hard top, i hate the white.

So you used linex right, not herculiner? I suppose I'll have to fork out the money for linex instead of herculiner.
