If you did a Hemi or LS you can never get the money back out of it if you sell. RIPP could be removed and sold separate and the jeep would still have the same value.
Even though i'd like having a Hemi or LS i'll be getting a RIPP when the time comes to upgrade my engine.

Well, if you got the bones to do the LS1 and want to do it, then go for it. I figured it would cost in the neighborhood of $15K +to do the swap, so I did a little math and found if I only spent $5k on the Ripp, I still have $10k for my lift, bumpers, tires, wheels, ah you get the idea. I currently run the Ripp super charger. While it is no LS1, it certainly did wake up an extremely lethargic jeep. It does actually have great power and I increased my actual gas mileage by 2mpg.
Dollar for Dollar I've found the Ripp SC a good investment.

My brother has an LS1 in his 2008, 2 door. Did the entire swap for under 6k. It was not easy, but is amazing. Recycle yard parts saved him $$. Definitely not turn key, but everything works, is dash light free, and looks quite good.
With that said, he's snapped 3 rears, and 1 front so far. All were stock Rubi axles. He's finally moving up to Pro Rock 60's.
I hate him.
