Default Hemi, LS1 or Ripp Supercharger What would you do?

Thinking of swapping out the 3.8 in my 2011 JK and putting in a Hemi or a ripp charger. If you could do the hemi for about 10grand would you. I was also thinking about a LS1 swap. You has done these Mods and how do you like them. Ups and Downs. Thamks

Ls1 for shure. Strong motor with great aftermarket support. I'll be doing a swap eventually.

guess it depends on the transmission. I had a Grand Cherokee with 5.7 Hemi and miss that power. I recently drove a JK with 6.4L and still have engine envy...

I'd lean towards the Hemi if it's newer.

You're in NY.
I'd vote for a Hemi just so you can drive it on the street.
Unless someone has figured out how to put an LS in their Jeep and still pass inspection.

Having never driven any JKs with a hemi, LS, or RIPP in person I would personally go for a RIPP for three reasons...

1. Much cheaper (5K compared to 10+K for any engine swap)
2. Completely reversible (in case inspections are stringent in your area or in case you want to go back to stock for some other reason)
3. Better fuel economy from what I can gather from all of the threads

I will say that the low-end torque of a v-8 is nice...but better low-end torque only goes so far in my mind.

LS1 or Ls1 series... power to weight ratio, LS has them beat and the fact that the aftermarket is so huge for the LS is a plus. Ripp looks great and the fact that is thousands cheaper is the reason many go that direction. I am on the verge of adding some muscle to my JK so I've been researching also.
But money is a huge factor for me. and if I decide to spend that much what does it do for my resale.

DECISIONS,DECISIONS,DECISIONS.
