Default Rim width

Which wheel width do I want and how do I know they will be able to mount on the tire I plan on purchasing? Anyone else running this set-up that can give me some info on what to expect?
I found out that my new BFG KM2 345 75 16s (36x13x16") don't seem to balance well on my KMC Enduros 16x8 wheels. I think in your case the 8" will be fine but my tires spec a 9.5-12" rim and my 8" s are "pulling in" the tire's shoulders causing vibes @ 70mph. I guess its time to sell my 16x8 black Enduros and go with a 16x10 I found. After taking them back to the tire shop 3xs to rebalance I went to D/TIRE and the manager used the Road-Force balancer and finally dialed them in to about 98%.

It's extremely hard to balance out tires that big... the skinny rim on such a wide tire doesn't help it either.
