Default HELP! What setup should I go with???

I just bought my JK unlimited. I want a bigger, more aggressive look, but it is my DD and therefore I will not be doing any serious offroading with it.

I was considering a Teraflex 2.5" budget boost, keeping the stock wheels, and going with 33" tires, but I'm worried the 33"'s won't do it for me. If I go to 35"'s will I end up having to do more mods?

I'm looking to maintain a clean ride for daily use.

Please, any help and guidance is greatly appreciated.

35s and a 2.5 inch lift will look really good and as long as you don't have 3.21 gears it will be great for a DD.

as mentioned, a 2.5" BB and 35's is most likely what you're looking for and, something that people do all the time. it's a great setup and one that i would recommend as well.

I currently run the teraflex 2.5 budget boost with 35x12.5x17 km2's. It is a killer setup. Some people choose to add sleeves and gussets when 35+ tires. I did, but it's not 100% necessary unless you wheel a ton then at least do gussets. Also with a 35" spare you probably won't want all that weight on the tailgate. So a rear bumper tire carrier might be wise. Other than that. Cost wise there isn't much. I would definitely go 35's you will want em as soon as you have had 33's for a few days. I know I already want 37's

Here's a few pics of 35's on 2.5 bb

The other jeep And jeeper pictured is forum member bstelling. He rocks the aev 4.5 with 37x12.5x17 mtr/k

Hope this helps

The answer to your question is yes. If you go to 35 inch tires it will be more mods and your gas mileage will also suffer. Teraflex does have great lifts. congratz on your new jeep!

Thought I would share a pic of my Jeep when it had a 2" lift and 33" km2's and stock fenders. I found that the 33" tires looked small with the lift and I either should have ran the 33" with no lift or gone to 35" with the lift. Of course, I had the bug and now run 37" tires.

Good luck with your choice.

Unfortunately, I do have the 3.21 gears... Is that a deal breaker? Forgive my ignorance, but I don't TRUELY understand the difference between that, and the 3.7(?) gears... All I know is the 3.21 offers better fuel consumption but less torque.

I must say that I am blown away by the feedback. I literally just signed up for this forum and y'all have helped me a ton with your input and pics!

What can I do to remedy my 3.21 gears?

Really really love that green! Almost wish I could paint mine. Now I want a 2.5 inch lift and 35's. I can see this forum is going to make me spend more money than being married.

You can regear it to suit your needs. I think it runs $1500 - $2000. I plan on doing it myself with a lift and 35s. Right now I drive to far. I need to move or find a job closer. If money is tight you can get 33's and new wheels with an offset that will make them stick out and give it a more aggressive stance.

Having looked at your pictures, I'm really REALLY leaning toward the 35's. Being that I won't be doing much wheeling, what else do you figure I will need to do this rig right?
