I just put on a set of Firestone Destiation AT's 285/70/17 on mine, lighter than any of the other brands & they do come in a Drated which are a little heavier ( stiffer side walls),they do real well in the snow ( an we have a lot here) plus I've had previous experience with them & nothing but good things to say, tire wear is awesome ( in the past) realy like them

My toyo mts handle better than any AT I've owned. Better on road, ice , rain and deep snow. So if you don't go with an MT I would go with the open country AT.

you can thank me later for saving you money. If you think you want 285/70-17 Get at least 285/75-17. Been there done that. Within a week the 285/70-17 look small. I have had three sets of Toyo Open country at2's E rated and they ride smooth on two different four doors.
Here is the difference side view between the 70 series and the 75 series and the difference looks more so in real life than the photos show. both same e rated Toyo open country at2.
