Default Help with teraflex lift

Used the search button, still need info. Jeep was lifted in 08 when purchased, was third vehicle so not driven much. Only used on trails once and a while. Now it is daily driver and I am having problems with steering. Problems are tire cupping and steering feels disconnected.
I dont see why I should have to beef up front end but that looks like the case.
What parts do I really need to do to make front end solid. Brace with flip kit and gusset suport?

Jeep has heavy duty adj track bar attched to stock locations. Do I need to use a higher attachment point?

After all the reading, I am just as confused. Is tera flex online here?

Thanks for any help and it is good to be back in the jeep again. Be away for to long.

Can you post some pics so I can tell you what TeraFlex kit you have? Have you ever changed out the balljoints?

I had to go get box to see lift. It says 3" lift. I did not see a model number for the lift.

That is a fast response, awesome.

I have not changed the balljoints. I have tested them to see if they were loose. Installed lift kit myself. I have put about 20k miles on it in last 8 mnths.

There should be a part# on a sticker on the box. Can you post pics showing your suspension? Do you have adjustable control arms/trackbars?

What parts did you install? It looks like you have a 2-door. If you just installed 3" springs in a 2-door with nothing else, I'm not really surprised to hear that the steering feels loose. You probably netted quite a bit more than three inches.

I just helped another member install a 4" lift on his JKU. We did install LCA's and a drag link flip kit, along with some brackets to deal with the trackbars. His Jeep drives every bit as good, if not better, than it did stock.

Edit: looks like we were typing at the same time.

OK, 3 " lift with shocks. On paper it says 1151200, on the box it says 1451300 box 1of 3.
I have JKS front and rear adjustable track bars.

4 dr Rubicon
35" tires
Under armor for oil pan, tranny
Cool tech exhaust
Gears are 5.13
Stock shafts

Steering feels like gear box is missing a tooth, if you know what I mean
