Help with Stuck Bolt
I am trying to install my new MBRP Exhaust but for the life of me i cannot get a bolt out to release the transmission skid. I had it out before to install my Oil pan skid but now it refuses to come out. I have tried soaking it with liquid wrench and then using my impact wrench but even this does not budge it. It is the bolt that holds the trans skid on at the front to the cross member. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'd try a torch, heat up the metal around where the bolt is. This should do it, and if someone put any Lock-tite on there, the heat will actually burn it off from the inside, and allow you to get the bolt out... (i've had to heat up lots of lock-tite bolts in the past).
Any butane, propane type of torch would work, but don't do it near any gas lines!
Also BP Blaster is much better then Liquid Wrench or WD-40.... most auto parts stores or hardware stores should carry it.

yeah didn't even think of a breaker bar. harber freight or Northern Tool has them really cheap. get a big 1/2" one and use your impact sockets with it and you should be good. and if the breaker bar won't budge it, try the torch or try sliding a pipe down on the end of the breaker bar for more leverage.

That reminded me of autoshop in high school. It was those small instructions some one always seemed to miss. It would make us shake our heads in disbelief and laugh at the same time.
Yes, please avoid the gas lines. We would like to hear from you again.

yeah to keep it safe, try the breaker bar first if you are not comfortable with a torch... and some BP Blaster.
but not a torch and BP Blaster at the same time....
... oh man, I think I may have confused/scared this guy! sorry if i did, just be careful. I'll stop giving advice tonight, i'm still on a wheeling high from today, haha
