Help with OME Lift for JK Unlimited
Hello all
Anyone have the install instructions for a OME Lift for JK 4 door?
I have bought it used locally, but just came with 4 coils, 4 shocks and 2 yellow coil packers.
Does the kit came with something else?
Any tips or special instructions or i just have to change coils and shocks?
I will install it on my 2011 JK Unlimited Rubicon.
Regards

Mine OME kit cam with:
4-springs
4-shocks
2-10mm front spacers (2 yellow coil packers) To help level front to back. I used them, but not required.
2-steel blocks to mount to rear axle for bumpstops (only needed if tall tires 35"+ are used to keep tires from contacting rear fenders but not required).
1-rear frame mounted track bar relocation bracket. Not required but highly recomended by OME. I use a JKS adjustable track bar instead.
Only the axle blocks and the track bar relocation bracket came with instructions.

If u can get the part number off the springs they will tell u if u got the light/medium load or the heavy load springs. You'll get closer to a 3+ inch lift from the heavy springs. The amount of lift would determine what additional parts u need.

The kit is the heavy duty one and was used 2 months, after that, he replaced it with an AEV 4.5" Premium lift. I have called the seller and he also have the rear trackbar relocator bracket, nothing else.
I don't plan to disconnect the rear swaybar maybe just the front one that is electric. I will use the Jeep with 285/70R17 Tires (33") and may be change to 35", but not yet.
Any advice prior the install?

I needed adjustable trackbars with my OME HD. The rear needed the adjustable bar to keep the sway bar links from rubbing on the tires. I also reversed the bolts and the sway bar links. Check every spot where there could be a conflict.

But I think you would be better off with an adjustable track bar. You can center the rear axle more precise. Also I know the JKS adjustable track bar is for 0"-6" of lift. So if you change lift height or add alot of weight to the Jeep, it grows with it.
It is about twice the price of the bracket, but worth it.
