Default Help with noise.

Last week I installed a full traction 3 inch lift with adjustable track bars and upper control arms. I now notice a slight hum when I am accelerating. I cant feel anything and everything in the rear looks fine. Is it possible I set my rear pinion angle up to high? Also on a longer drive yesterday it seems to go away after a longer drive.

This is probably way off track but I'm goingto throw it out there anyway. I just installed a TereFlex 3" long arm lift. As soon as it was driveable I hit the road for a test drive. I noticed a sort of a hum. I immediately felt that it was my front tires. Does the hum seem to be coming from the front of your JK. Five days later I took it and had it aligned. Caster & Toe were adjusted and the hum is now much quieter. This may have nothing to do with the noise your hearing but in my case it was my tires.

No seems to be the rear and under load. On the way home from work it did it but it was weird cause it would like stutter some and right before the house it stopped cause it had time to warm up.

When you change the pinion angle of the drive shaft, it could make the joints hum when put under load. I had that problem until I changed out driveshafts.

Good luck

Would it help if I change the angle and is it wearing out the joints then?
