Help needed building mall crawler
Hi All,
I'm a newb here and I've read all the suggested threads for newbs on modding (they were very helpful). However, still need some help. I'm looking to get back into a 2DR wrangler and trying to decide whether i should buy a used JK which has already been modded or buy a new bare bones JK and build to my needs.
My needs: I'll be honest, i'm looking for a mall crawler with aggressive look/stance. I want a JK with 2.5 inch lift, 35inch tires and will be doing little to no wheeling ever. Don't need frills on the jeep, just want the aggressive look. I plan to have the doors and top off permanently and will be using it as a DD (have another DD as well for when it rains). I don't mind a stiff ride and want to avoid any flighty feelings while driving of course.
If i were to build off a 2016 basic 2dr JK and add a 2.5 inch suspension lift, what parts are must haves (gears, axles, sleeves?) and what are nice to haves?
Thank you!

Mall crawler with the only requirement being "stance"- use 3" budget boost spacers, offset wheels, wheel spacers, and add geometry correction brackets- she'll be everything you want.
So start bare and go from there.

Lol, thanks for the laugh Chuck.
Lewvsal, the only 'must haves' for a lift are the coils or spacers to add the height. Any and everything else is a preference. You said you have already read the newbie literature, which means that you have read the FAQ's and the Thoughts On Lifts stuck to the top of this modified area, and you already know what the various components actually do, right?
From there, open a few dozen (hundred) threads asking about axle upgrades. You will quickly see that there is absolutely no consensus on 'needed' vs 'wanted'. The best you can do is read a bunch and form your own opinion on what is right for you.

Thanks for the help. After reading so many threads it's easy to be persuaded into thinking every little thing is needed. I just want to ensure The thing drives well after lift and tires and I'm not seriously damaging other parts (too) prematurely
