Default Help me pick my new rear bumper!

Hey guys,

Brand new 2011 Rubi, just put a 3" Teraflex kit and 35" Nitto's on it. That big tire on the stock carrier has GOT to go before I rip the tailgate off! I think I've got it narrowed down to the Rock Hard rear bumper with tire carrier or the Poison Spyder JK RockBrawler™ Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier. Any input from you guys on which way to go?

Thanks!

Go OrFab. Love the fit, finish, and function of their stuff.

Here are some pics of mine, Only one has my current 37s on. The other were after I installed everything and before I got my 37s.

I like the OR Fab stuff...but I'm concerned about that tailgate mount for the spare. I think it needs to mount to the bumper to preserve the tailgate....not really interested in anything that rattles either....

The or-fab carrier doesn't mount to the tailgate at all. It uses the rear section of the quarter panel beside the tails. A brace is put in there as well.

This is totally correct. It mounts to the rear quarter section of the tub. There is extensive bracing installed in side as well. It doesn't rattle at all as well as I'm sure anyone using there stuff will tell you. Mine is carrying a 37" tire and there is absolutely no noise from the carrier.
Here are some pics of where it installs.

Ah....I see! It looked like it mounted to the tailgate from the first pics. Looks pretty solid! I'll check it out...thanks for the advice!

I just picked up a JK a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to do anything to it yet so I really haven't had much to add to the forum till now. I used to have a YJ and a lot has changed so I spend more time reading here than anything else.
No worries dude! although it did look a little suspect. Just be careful on here. they can be very sensitive to "advertising" unless you're paying
