Help me decide, ordering tires Friday.
Going to order tires on Friday. Still going nuts over which to get. GY Duratrac 285/16 (just under 33 inches) or to get 315/16 (right around 34.4)
I cant afford a re-gear. I dont want to put on a after market tire carrier. I checked and the tire weight and its something like 12 lbs difference.
Im afraid the 33's wont look big enough to me, however I dont want to killllll gas mileage or suffer any long term problems.
Pice diff is only 150 bucks total.
Help me decide!

Ya, so tires that are 34.4 tall, and then you add the weight of the jeep, the radius goes down farther and should effect power/gas mileage loss less right? Or am I using bro science?

I'd say go with the bigger tires. But it would help if you filled out your "About Me" section, or told everyone what you're running. 2-dr or 4-dr, auto or manual, X or Rubicon, etc. That will also help the decisions.
...but still, go with the 35's.
