I have a 2" BB coming UPS. I also have Mickey Thompson 17X9 sidebiters on order. Now I can't decide on tires... MTZ,durartrac, procomp, Km2. ??? And I also can't decide on 33X12.5 or 285/70/17. Its my DD . And I haul around a 1800 lb boat every other weekend.help me pick out a mean ass tire ! Not an A/T. I want something with teeth !!

I just went from the OEM BFGs with 50k miles to MTZ33X15X12.5. I have logged 5k miles now and couldnt be happier.

I run the soft top year round, and havent noticed a difference in road noise.

On road handling is a bit sloppier, but i attribute that to the wheel diameter drop from 17" to 15".

I have noticed some fender rub on disconnected articulation.

Couldnt be happier with the MTZs, will most likely buy Mickey Thompson's again.

IMO I would try to keep your wheels at 20 to 22 lbs each, and for your tires, try to keep them as light as possible as well. I believe most 35 inch MTs weight around 67 lbs. If you go to a A/T tire the BF Goodrich is about the lightest at 54 lbs. The size alone will look great. This is going to help keep your mpg up. For what its worth

Should have a look at the Cooper STT's...Very happy with my 33x12.50's as a daily driver, wear is great, quiet for a M/T, great in mud & snow.
