Default help me with a bumper/winch combo????

Here is my LoD stubby and XRC8... Would be below your budget. I think I paid about $750-800 for the bumper, it has the bells and whistles, and that included shipping. I was also in the same boat as you with wanting to keep my factory fog lights.

I love my XHD with XRC-8 Winch and Hoop. $400 for bumper w/ hoop, $300 for the winch leaves me right at $700. With the $1500 budget I would look for a Warn winch, or maybe even a used warn powerplant with the air compressor.

With a thread like this, all you're going to get is opinions based on what each person has. I went with the Rock Hard front and rear. They are the only one to use 1/4" steel instead of 3/16. Made right in Nebraska by a family business. I looked at all the others, but this one tripped my trigger. Just another opinion.

x2

My warn 9500 has been great, on the second vehicle now with 11 years of use. If I were to get a new one, however, I would realize that I don't really need the top-o-the-line winch on the market, and would go for one of the more reasonably priced, well reviewed winches out there.
