Question help jk newbie

Hi I bought a 2008 jk for my brother last year, for his birthday I am giving him a 3'' lift kit (zone off road) and tires I have some questions (I am a subby guy so I no nothing about jk's):

1.- Do i need spacers to run 315X75X16 on the oem tires with the 3'' lift kit.
2.- Is it cheapper to run 15'' tires on steel rims?
3.- Which tires 35X12.5X16 or something smaller
4.- Which spare tire adapter to buy

Thanks for any input I can get

I'm an only child. Will you adopt me as your brother too?

Yes you need spacers

2.- Is it cheapper to run 15'' tires on steel rims?

Yes the tires are cheaper with the smaller rim

3.- Which tires 35X12.5X16 or something smaller

Id go 35s

4.- Which spare tire adapter to buy

Dont put your spare on it will mess up the tail gate.

One question why the Zone lift? They are so many more kits that are better. In my opinion.

Thanks for all the help

I bought the zone off road the reviews are not that bad and we live in Miami so no much off roading

I think I am going to go with 15'' steel rims (do the brakes clear 15'') what offset should I get the rims I am not looking for anything fancy

Any help on steel rims

It makes no sense to buy spacers + more expensive tires

welcome to the forum. if you don't know to much and want some good advice and some stuff he will like for his b day. give david a call at http://www.northridge4x4.com/ give him your budget and he will hook you up for everything you need. there are so many more things that go into a 3" lift besides just the lift. drive shafts and other things you will need as well. he also has free shipping no tax and i belive there is a 7% off deal now. so now that i am done with my add for northridge id say go with a old man emu long travel kit or tera flex 2.5" coil and some 35s on what ever wheel that fits the bugdet.

What if the Jeep bug bites you and you find yourself on a nice off road trail somewhere. build it to last.
