Default Help finding Wheel mod info.

I seen somewhere maybe another site a write up on a modification you have to do or should do when you change from the stock wheel to any other wheel. It has something to do with removing some material off the wheel studs on the jeep like a thin tiny spacer on the studs.

Does anyone know what I mean and can point to the thread, write up or give me detailed info on the subject.

Thanks

I think you mean the rotor retaining clips that are installed in the factory.
You may not have to take them off to change wheels, but they are unnecessary.
You will have to remove them when you do the brakes however.
Just pull them off with needle nose pliers or a screwdriver.

x2....Most people including myself have taken them off....With those clips still installed, some have complained of a slight wobble/shimmy when aftermarket rims were installed on their JEEP, probably due to the new rims not being properly flushed with the rotor/hub....

Here's an old thread....
