Default Help! Fender Flare Mod gap in body

Trying to come up with a clean solution to fix the gap in body and fenderwell on front after cutting fenders. Cut them a week or 2 ago and I have noticed all sorts of stuff stuck in there. I heard of using foam but not sure how this will turn out. Also thought about welding up some sheet metal but would rather not have to do this. Any thoughts or pictures of what others have done.

I've seen a few JK's that used expanding foam and just cut with a hot blade after it cured to make it smooth...... tuned out looking really good but not sure how it held up over months of driving.

Great Stuff makes Window & Door expandable foam that is low pressure, minimally expanding. Not sure what others have used, but I would be worried about the other foam expanding too much and deforming the fenderwell.

Guess I will try the great stuff foam and paint it. Just hoping it will not hold moisture. Thanks for all the advice.

Definitly take it slow with the spray foam. The sheetmetal is thin and it doesn't take much to warp it.

What about just getting another fender liner and re-trimming it to cover the well?

Foam is cheaper but re-doing the liner would be a permanent fix...

Using spray in bedliner after the foam willl also help that option last.
