Yeah, I think this is going to be the way to go. I have off Thursday so hopefully I can get it figured out.

When I installed mine I had to widen all the holes in the last piece and the plate touched the exhaust in 2 different stops

Got mine installed this week-end. Then went wheeling and the one that protects the exhaust loop and cross-over took some pretty serious hits. I am still pretty stock and my belly smacks the break-over on a lot of hills. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. I did have to ream one of the holes a bit... but no major thing.

I had to ream the last hole a little in order to get it to fit as well. Once it's installed though, it ought to hold up pretty well. Haven't had a chance to prove that yet.
