Help For Customizing For Off Roading and Zombie Preparation
Unfortunately, I have yet to upgrade my stock 2010 JK. With that said, I want to make sure I set off on the right foot.
I'd like to be able to take it to the extremes off road (and be ready for any possible zombie attacks along the way ).
Basically, I'm looking for the best possible rig - the ultimate in Jeep off-road capabilities, with attention to what I'm actually getting for my money (which I don't have a lot of).
Side note: I have a Sport, not the Rubi. I do have the electronic sway bar disconnect, though.
Are their any new names to the market out there that are top-notch, but may be more affordable?

Another thing you should look at is the Ebay snorkel. It is basically a knock-off version of the AEV snorkel. Many people don't like it because it is a knock off, but for half the price, you really can't beat it if you have a small budget like 95% of us out here.
The only complaint I have heard is that the hardware is missing sometimes, but that's a $5 fix at any Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace. I know people that have had theirs for over a year and has held up just fine to branches and TX sunshine.

I'd be looking at recovery gear first. It might get you out befor the zombies come a knocking.
First aid kit. $15
1xfire extinguisher. $20
A reciever for a shackle in your tow hitch. $14
1xTyre defliator. $50
4x4.7t bow shackles $40
10m of Drag chain $40
60" extreme high lift jack $90-140
Winch kit for jack $45
1xStabiliser pad for high lift $0-45
2xSnatch straps $75
2xTree trunk protectors $50
1x10m winch extension strap $35
1x20m winch extension strap $45
2xSnatch blocks $100
1xShort shovel $15
1xAir compressor $25
1xTire plug/repair kit $25
1xExhaust jack $35
1xGround anchor. $60
1xAxe. $20
1xSet of max trax. $250
1xWater bra for swampy mucky water crossings (don't want that crap in your radiator). $5-70
1xchainsaw. $200
The bits to bolt on your rig should include:
Spot/flood lights. $300-1200
33"mud tyres or bigger$1200-3000
Snorkel. $195-1000
Winch. $250-2500
Lockers front and rear.$650-3000
Long range gas tank. $500-2000
Roof rack. $350-2500
That's pretty well all the stuff you need for gettin out of a pickle and some bits can double as zombie killing equipment.
I hope it helps.
