I have the Ace rear bumper with the linked tire carrier. Great product at a great price in my opinion. Install was a breeze, with no cutting or major drilling.

I personally would not have a tire carrier that doesn't connect to the gate. It just seems like it would be a pain in the ass having to open them separately. I do, however, agree that for a major crawler/wheeler it may be wise to steer away from one.

I would steer away from the cheep China stuff, too... at all costs.
