help!
I'm looking to put 33's on my Sahara 4 door. I want a tire that is good for an everyday driver as well as an aggressive looking set up. Any suggestions? I want to put rugged ridge 17" wheels

Pro Com Xtreme MT's
I have the Pro Comp Xtreme MT's in a 285/75/16 (33's) and I love them. I have about 9000 miles on them with about 4 off-road trips (rock crawling) with them. They perform very well off road as well as on road. They are quiet on the streets and wear very well.

Let's be honest on your driving needs. Give us percentages of how much you expect to be on and off road. What's your budget? What kind of terrain do you wheel in?
33" Tires give you more options than 35" ones do. Option like the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor which is kevelar reinforced, something not available in larger sizes.

BFG All Terrains or Goodyear Duratrac
Personal experience with BFG AT's
-Good on and off road, wet and dry, snow, ice.
-Had them on Jeep WJ, close to 65K miles, still had 15-20% treadlife on them.
-Quiet, but still had an aggressive look
Goodyear Duratrac; Arguably the most aggressive looking AT tire out there
-More aggressive looking
-Good reviews on here on and off road
-Rated for a Snowtire, good siping, can install studs.
-Good on and off road, wet, dry and snow
-Quiet as well.
-Still fairly new to the market, haven't heard much on mileage numbers.
Pricing similar it appears.
I hope to buy some new tires by year end and will most likely come down to these two tires. As of right now, I will go with the BFG AT's. If I start hearing about mileage of the Goodyears....my decision will become that much harder. I can't afford tires often, so I need one that is aggressive, but behaves on the road (daily driver), but will get me through most things from rain to off road, mild to moderate stuff.

I have 32'' BFG A/T and they look great but there is a noticeable amount of 'bumpiness' I use it maybe 95% daily driver and will definitely take it off roading every once in a while, but I can see myself taking it to the beach more often.
Would getting any sort of lift kit or whatever cure feeling every bump on the road? I know you guys will say its a jeep and its supposed to be like that...but there has to be something to make the on-road driving a bit softer? Maybe taking some air out of the tire?

I like the look of my Dick Cepek FC-II tires. And the performance on road is
darned good for an AT tire--better than most if the rating chart in the Quadratec
catalog is to be believed. Regarding wheels: A 33" tire will probably be 31-32"
in actual diameter. I think you'd be better off with 16" wheels, unless you think
you will upgrade to 35s later on.
