Default Heavy Aftermarket Bumper Side Effects?

Ok, it's finally come to replacing my bumpers (next on my list). Unfortunately, all of the bumpers I like are around the 70-80 pound range. When you guys replaced your factory bumpers with heavier ones, what kind of effects did you see? Was it that noticeable? I won't permanently mount a winch, so that extra weight won't be considered.

I didn't see much difference with my front, but mine is a fairly light weight Bestop Pavement Ends steel bumper. The rear I noticed sagged less than 1/2 an inch. No biggie.

Just installed the JCROffroad Crusader stubby with skid plate on mine. Sticker on package said it weighed 83lbs. I forgot to measure a before and after measurement but I honestly can't tell if there is any sag or not. The ENGO 10k is going on this coming week so that will be the real test. I did however buy a 3/4 coil spacer just in case I do see a little sag but so far nothing.

I wouldn't sweat it. 70-80 lbs is not going to drop you that much. Get two 40 lb dumbbells and lay them on top of your bumper. You're not going to see that much drop.

I added a JCR dagger stubby and a Milemarker with synthetic...around 130lbs. Beforehand, I replaced the front 14 coils for some 17s. It sits higher now than it did without the bumper/winch. Without the spring swap, my guess is I would have lost 1/2 to 3/4".

A coil spacer will help to keep it level after adding the weight.

Read my suspension help needed post .
I don't know if any one else had as bad a problem as I did but mine was a nightmare.i did add a winch as well just be prepared to have to add 2 inch spacers to the budget.if your implying your going to use a receiver front bumper they are very hard to find.

Can you guys feel a difference in the on-road ride? Does the front end feel heavier?

I didn't notice any difference in handling or general ride feel.

I didn't notice much at all and even measure it one time I had it off
