Default Heavier Spare Wheel

I simply don't have the budget for a rear bumper/tire carrier yet, but I'm a bit concerned about hangning a heavier wheel/tire on the swing gate.

Has anyone had any troubles carrying around a heavier wheel/tire on their rear swing gate?? I'm looking at 35x12.5x16 on 16x8 Crager Soft 8's.

So far as room to fit it, do you think this is a viable option?
